Jonathon has been teaching Drama and English for 33 years and, in that time, has qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher and Outstanding Teacher. He believes that learning should be taught through challenge and enjoyment. Students will be asked to complete work both in tutoring sessions and, as appropriate, for homework.
He is an experienced tutor, having tutored individuals and groups for public school entrance exams, GCSE, A Level and degree level qualifications.
Jonathon can tutor English Language and Literature at KS3, GCSE and A Level; Drama, Theatre Studies and Performing Arts at KS3, GCSE and A Level; and History and Geography at KS3, GCSE and A Level. Gary is an Associate Tutor in Primary Education and Link Tutor at Edge Hill University. He has also been a private tutor since 2014 and has extensive teaching experience across both primary and secondary education, including teaching overseas.
His previous roles include Deputy Headteacher, Headteacher and Head of Science, and he has gained the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
Gary can support pupils across the primary curriculum and 11+ preparation. At secondary level, he can tutor Maths, English Language and Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and Art, with a range of subjects available through to GCSE and A Level.
