West Lancs Tutors was founded in 2015 to help local families find experienced, qualified teachers they can trust.
What began as a small matching service, managed alongside founder David's full-time teaching career, is now being developed into a more comprehensive and professionally managed tutoring service.
We support families seeking one-to-one tuition from Primary through to A Level, both in person and online. Rather than simply providing a list of names, we consider each child’s subject, age, location, availability and individual requirements when identifying a potentially suitable tutor.
After 15 years as a primary teacher, David left the classroom in 2026 to focus fully on his education businesses and the continued development of West Lancs Tutors.
During his teaching career, he spent more than 10 years teaching Year 6 and leading mathematics and P.E. He was also a member of his school’s senior leadership team and achieved consistently strong KS2 SATs outcomes, including results ranked first in Southport and fourth across Sefton.
David’s classroom and leadership experience now shapes how West Lancs Tutors supports families, works with tutors and helps to find the most appropriate tutor for your child.
